Weather & Access Policy

Mobile detailing is an outdoor service — weather and location access both matter. Here's exactly what I need and what happens when conditions aren't right.

Weather Delays & Rescheduling

Detailing requires dry conditions and moderate temperatures to produce great results. I may need to reschedule due to:

  • Rain or wet conditions — washing and exterior detailing cannot be performed in active rain, and surfaces need time to dry properly.
  • Temperatures below 35°F — water freezes on surfaces, chemicals don't activate correctly, and working safely becomes difficult.
  • High winds — dust, debris, and overspray make a clean finish difficult or impossible to achieve.
  • Severe weather warnings — lightning, ice, or any condition that poses a safety risk.

What Happens if I Need to Reschedule

If weather forces a reschedule:

  • I'll contact you as early as possible — typically the evening before or morning of your appointment if conditions change overnight.
  • Your deposit is fully preserved and applied to your new date. No extra charges, no penalties.
  • I'll work with you to find the next available date that fits your schedule.

Weather rescheduling is never a fee situation for either party — I'll find a better day.

Location & Access Requirements

Because I come to you, a few basics need to be in place at your location on the day of service:

Water Access

I need an outdoor water hookup — a standard garden hose spigot or similar connection within a reasonable distance of your vehicle. I bring my own hose and attachments.

If your property doesn't have an outdoor faucet, let me know when booking so I can discuss alternatives.

Electrical Access

A standard 110V electrical outlet (exterior house outlet or garage outlet) must be accessible near the vehicle. I use this to power polishers, vacuums, and other equipment.

Driveway & Parking Space

The vehicle needs to be parked in a location where:

  • I can comfortably walk around all four sides
  • Other vehicles, structures, or obstacles don't block access to doors, the hood, or the trunk
  • The surface is reasonably flat and stable (a standard driveway or paved parking space is perfect)

Most driveways work just fine. If you're unsure about your location, send me a quick message before booking.

If Access Isn't Available on the Day of Service

If I arrive and cannot access water, electricity, or the vehicle (locked driveway, car moved, no response, etc.):

  • I'll attempt to contact you by phone before leaving.
  • If I cannot perform the service due to an access issue on your end, the appointment may be treated as a no-show and the deposit may be retained per the Cancellation Policy.
  • If the access issue was unexpected and outside your control, reach out and I'll work with you to find a fair resolution.
